Consumer price index in Palestine indicate sharp increase during September, 09/2022, as a result of increase in the prices of fresh vegetables, chicken, and eggs.
The overall Consumer Price Index CPI for Palestine during September 2022 recorded a sharp increase by 1.30% compared with August 2022 (2.12% in Gaza Strip, 1.20% in the West Bank**, and by 0.50% in Jerusalem J1*).
The changes in Palestinian CPI during September 2022 were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during First Nine month of 2022 increased by 3.57% compared with same period of the previous year (4.49% in Jerusalem J1*, 3.55% in the West Bank**, and by 3.06% in Gaza Strip).
The Palestinian CPI during September 2022 increased by 4.04% compared with September 2021 (4.50% in Jerusalem J1*, 4.26% in the West Bank**, and by 3.06% in Gaza Strip).

*Data represent those parts of Jerusalem, which were annexed by Israeli Occupation in 1967.
