Slight decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential Buildings

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 121.14 with a slight decrease of 0.06% during April 2023 compared with March 2023 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.13%, and the prices of raw material slightly decreased by 0.09%. At the same time, the labour costs and wages remained stable during April 2023 compared with the previous month.

Slight decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Non-residential Buildings

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 120.20 with a slight decrease of 0.05% during April 2023 compared with March 2023 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw material slightly decreased by 0.08%, and the prices of rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.07%. At the same time, the labour costs and wages remained stable during April 2023 compared with the previous month.

Slight decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Skeleton Buildings

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for skeleton buildings in the West Bank* reached 122.19 with a slight decrease of 0.09% during April 2023 compared with March 2023 (Base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw material decreased by 0.13%, and the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.12% .At the same time, the labour costs and wages remained stable during April 2023 compared with the previous month.

The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank* reached 116.67 with a decrease of 0.14% during April 2023 compared with March 2023 (Base month December 2008=100).

At the level of major groups the prices of operating costs of equipment decreased by 1.12%, the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.23%, and the price of raw material  slightly decreased by 0.09%.  At the same time, the labour costs and wages remained stable during April 2023 compared with the previous month.

Slight decrease in the Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank* reached 129.87 with a slight decrease of 0.04% during April 2023 compared with March 2023 (Base month January 2010=100).

Water reservoirs Cost Index reached 124.66 with a decrease of 0.10%, and the water networks Cost Index reached 132.23 with a slight decrease of 0.02%, during April 2023 compared with March 2023.

Increase in the Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI)

The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank* reached 115.73 with   an increase of 0.13% during April 2023 compared with March 2023 (Base month January 2010=100).

Notice:

1.    Gaza Strip data is not available.

2.    The difference in the percentage change in major groups of roads, construction, water networks, and sewage networks cost index is due to the nature compositions of these major groups.
