Decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential Buildings

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 120.04 with a decrease of 0.42% during June 2023 compared with May 2023 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw material decreased by 0.84%, and the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.37%. While, the prices of the labour costs and wages increased by 0.54% during June 2023 compared with the previous month.

Decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Non-residential Buildings

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 119.12 with a decrease of 0.42% during June 2023 compared with May 2023 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw material decreased by 0.81%, and the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.37%. While, the prices of the labour costs and wages increased by 0.54% during June 2023 compared with the previous month.

Decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Skeleton Buildings

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for skeleton buildings in the West Bank* reached 119.78 with a decrease of 1.02% during June 2023 compared with May 2023 (Base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw material decreased by 1.60%, and the prices of rental of equipment decreased by 0.37%. While, the prices of the labour costs and wages increased by 0.24% during June 2023 compared with the previous month.

Slight decrease in the Road Cost Index (RCI)

The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank* reached 116.55 with a slight decrease of 0.09% during June 2023 compared with May 2023 (Base month December 2008=100).

At the level of major groups the price of raw material decreased by 0.34%, and the prices of operating costs of equipment decreased by 0.15%. While, the prices of labour costs and wages increased by 0.99%, and the prices of rental of equipment slightly increased by 0.02% during June 2023 compared with the previous month.

Decrease in the General Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank* reached 128.99 with a decrease of 0.16% during June 2023 compared with May 2023 (Base month January 2010=100).

Water reservoirs Cost Index reached 120.89 with a decrease of 1.30%. While, the water networks Cost Index reached 132.68 with an increase of 0.31%, during June 2023 compared with May 2023.

Decrease in the General Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI)

The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank* reached 115.38 with   a decrease of 0.15% during June 2023 compared with May 2023 (Base month January 2010=100).

Notice:

1.    Gaza Strip data is not available.

2.    The difference in the percentage change in major groups of roads, construction, water networks, and sewage networks cost index is due to the nature compositions of these major groups.

*Data exclude those parts of Jerusalem, which were annexed by Israeli Occupation in 1967.
