Main Results

An increase in GDP at constant prices in Palestine* during the 1^st quarter 2013 compared to the parallel quarter (1^st quarter 2012)

Preliminary estimates at constant prices showed an increase of 2.7 percent in GDP in Palestine* during the 1^st quarter 2013 compared to the 1^st quarter 2012, and it showed a decrease of 5.1 percent compared to the 4^th quarter 2012 at constant prices, and the base year is 2004.  In West Bank,* GDP decreased by 0.6 percent during the 1^st quarter 2013 compared to the 1^st quarter 2012.  In Gaza Strip, GDP increased by 12.2 percent during the 1^st quarter 2013 compared to the 1^st quarter 2012.  GDP for the 1^st quarter 2013 at constant prices was USD 1,180  million for West Bank* and USD 464 million for Gaza Strip.

Gross Domestic Product Per Capita

GDP per Capita for Palestine* at constant prices was  USD 399 during the 1^st quarter 2013, it showed a decrease of 0.3 percent compared to the 1^st quarter 2012.  As for West Bank* at constant prices it was USD 483 during the 1^st quarter 2013, it showed a decrease by 3.3 percent during the 1^st quarter 2013 compared to the 1^st quarter 2012, and for Gaza Strip was USD 276 during the 1^st quarter 2013, and it showed an increase by 8.4 percent during the 1^st quarter 2013 compared to the parallel quarter 2012.

*  The data excludes those parts of Jerusalem which were annexed by Israel in 1967.
