Main Results
An increase in GDP at constant prices in Palestine* during the 1st quarter 2013 compared to the parallel quarter (1st quarter 2012)
Preliminary estimates at constant prices showed an increase of 2.7 percent in GDP in Palestine* during the 1st quarter 2013 compared to the 1st quarter 2012, and it showed a decrease of 5.1 percent compared to the 4th quarter 2012 at constant prices, and the base year is 2004. In West Bank,* GDP decreased by 0.6 percent during the 1st quarter 2013 compared to the 1st quarter 2012. In Gaza Strip, GDP increased by 12.2 percent during the 1st quarter 2013 compared to the 1st quarter 2012. GDP for the 1st quarter 2013 at constant prices was USD 1,180 million for West Bank* and USD 464 million for Gaza Strip.
Gross Domestic Product Per Capita
GDP per Capita for Palestine* at constant prices was USD 399 during the 1st quarter 2013, it showed a decrease of 0.3 percent compared to the 1st quarter 2012. As for West Bank* at constant prices it was USD 483 during the 1st quarter 2013, it showed a decrease by 3.3 percent during the 1st quarter 2013 compared to the 1st quarter 2012, and for Gaza Strip was USD 276 during the 1st quarter 2013, and it showed an increase by 8.4 percent during the 1st quarter 2013 compared to the parallel quarter 2012.
* The data excludes those parts of Jerusalem which were annexed by Israel in 1967.
