Press Release on Hotel Activities Survey in West Bank during the Third Quarter 2013
About 136 Thousand Guests Spent 321 Thousand Nights
During the third quarter of 2013, 136 thousand guests stayed in hotels in West Bank: 37% were from European Union countries and 10% were Palestinian.
The number of hotel guests was 11% lower than in the previous quarter and 7% lower than in the third quarter of 2012.
During the third quarter of 2013, the number of guest nights in West Bank hotels was 321 thousand: of these guests, 11% were Palestinian, 41% were from European Union countries and 6% were from Asia.

During the third quarter of 2013, there were 2,794 hotel workers: 2,119 males and 675 females.
Hotel Room Occupancy
The room occupancy rate in West Bank was 23% in the third quarter of 2013.
Room occupancy during the third quarter of 2013 was 13% lower than in the previous quarter and 19% lower than in the third quarter of 2012.
Hotel Capacity by Region
In September 2013, show that 111 hotels out of 112 hotels operating in West Bank responded to the third quarter 2013 survey and have available 6,035 rooms with a total of 13,785 beds. These were distributed by region as follows:
· North of West Bank: 16 hotels comprising 300 rooms with 877 beds.
· Middle of West Bank: 32 hotels comprising 1,451 rooms with 3,437 beds
· Jerusalem: 28 hotels comprising 1,575 rooms with 3,500 beds.
· South of West Bank: 35 hotels comprising 2,709 rooms with 5,971 beds.
